Brigade achieves ISO 27001:2005 certification


INDIA, Thursday, June 22, 2006 Brigade Corporation, a leading global BPO & KPO, today announced that it is one of the first few BPO companies to be certified to the new ISO 27001:2005 information security standard. The certificate is the latest recognized industry standard for benchmarking Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) for organizations. It is the latest version over the earlier BS 7799 certification. With this, Brigade joins a select list of global BPO companies that have been assessed as per ISO 27001 standards. Additionally, Brigade also becomes the first few independent party BPO organizations in India to receive the certification. The certification audit was conducted by TUV, India (part of TUV Nord, Germany )

About ISO/IEC 27001:2005
ISO/IEC 27001 is a standard setting out the requirements for an information security management system (ISMS), the certificate, outlines the rules for defining, establishing, implementing, operating, reviewing, monitoring, maintaining and improving a documented Information Security Management System within the context of an organization's overall business risks. The standard is designed to ensure the selection of adequate and proportionate security controls that protect information assets and give confidence to interested parties including an organization's customers.
